Here are some photo's which we had taken a few weeks ago, been busy and lazy at the same time so haven't blogged for a while :P .

Roof truss issue

Just an update on what's been happening. I had been advised by my Building Coordinator a few weeks ago that our roof truss design was not designed to accommodate extra weight for our chandelier to be hung in the void near the stair case. After I pointed out that it was indicated on our electrical plans and therefore forms part of the contract, PD had arranged the redesign of our roof trusses. It will probably delay our hand over date, so we just have to wait.

So far I am very happy with my SS who would follow up on my concerns throughout the build and the way PD has handled our roof truss issue. I feel bad that my SS would probably have extra work because of the roof truss issue but the chandelier is very important :P

I haven't been able to go into the house because it has been locked, so hopefully this week some time I can drop by and take some updated photos.

Render

I went by the site yesterday and the guys were putting the undercoat for the rendering :)  We couldn't go in because the doors were locked but we did look through the windows. *^_^*

We will be rendering hog bristle 1/4 (whitish) for the main colour and self destruct ( slightly darker than CB paperbark) for the brick corbel.

Fixing stage completing today

I spoke to my SS today and he said that fixing stage will be completed today! Have to go to the site tomorrow to have a sneaky peak and arrange an inspection as well.
Next week they will start painting and finish the garage flushing and downpipes.

Here's some photo's of our wider fridge space and the stair case area for those who are interested in the layout.

There will be some plaster to cover the top of the fridge space area.
We wanted the glass panel to go all the way up but didn't realise the fridge space will prevent this from happening.

We are officially locked out!

I went by on Friday to the house and the doors were all locked!!! Even though we had paid for lock up stage in July the locks were not installed until a few days ago. I was in luck though, the guys came back from getting lunch and so I was able to go inside :) 

I think that the guys had installed the internal doors, skirting and architraves after lunch.

The handles where attached too high, it should have been placed at the 3rd line.

Our spa bath had arrived too!













 It's been a while since I spoke to my SS will have to call him to ask for an update early next week.

Nothing much happening, the cornices are completed and and the vents for the range hood has been done. Our internal doors has been delivered :)
