Glass splashback

We have decided to change back to the standard green tinge/clear splashback for the kitchen and the galley due to the joins. I really loved the low iron candlebark colour but I just don't like the 3 piece splashback for such a short wall!

So here it is, the re-selection.

Plumbing and electrical started

Have been very busy for the past 4 weeks spending time with family members visiting us.

We did see our SS a week or so ago and was told that the build will probably finish in September! I was shocked!! Really?? How can they complete in September I ask my self, of course I am not complaining but that is really fast!!!. Fingers cross we will be in before Xmas! :)

There's a lot of pink spray paint marks on the frames, some says not level others has scribbles on the boards.

After more than a week away, we have bricks, solar panel on, and our heating/cooling unit is installed. Just need to arrange the re-inspection for frame stage before lock up stage is completed.

It is so good to be home after being stranded in New Zealand due to the ash clouds. Home sweet home :)

Frame stage inspection done and roof is on

We meet up with our SS on Monday to go through the house, he pointed out that we have a overhang problem on the garage/laundry wall side which he will get the engineers to look at and rectify. Rob from New Home Inspection did our frame stage inspection and there were only 7 items which needed to be rectified. I have emailed our SS the inspection report and called him to let him know that I have sent it and ask if he can provide in writing how those items will be rectified and to arrange a date for re-inspection. 

We will be going to New Zealand for a week so went to our site to take some photo's of latest stage. ROOF!

Under the roof :) , didn't see any cracks or broken tiles so that's  a good sign.

Windows on ground floor

We visited the site on Friday afternoon and the windows were on, frame stage should have been completed on Friday and we have a site meeting with our SS on Monday. Also received the invoice by email from the accounts department on the same day!. Boy they are quick in sending invoices...been waiting for the revised final working drawings for a month and still haven't received it yet!.

Roof trusses are here!

It seems that our SS is very organised, once the slab was poured the frames arrived, 1 day before the 1st floor is completed the roof trusses arrived, everything seems to be arriving on time! There is no time wasting.

The guys are hard at work. This was taken around lunch time 1pm.
