Drove to our site today and found our windows and sliding doors on site ready to be fitted. Our SS said that the windows should be fitted next week so hopefully it doesn't get damaged before then.
Our White windows.
Our White terrace sliding doors? These look like it will be damaged since the cover has been taken off and the 1st floor still has not been constructed yet.
Our ground floor is taking shape.

Our Porch. Yay!!!
Hey Pups! Looking good and coming along quickly. :) You'll have the first floor and roof tiles up in no time.
ReplyDeleteHow did you go takling to your SS about the framework?
Don't worry too much about the doors. If they are scratched or damaged, PD should replace or mend them. Just look over and note the ones that need to be replaced or touched up. I've found one that has a slight scratch on it but it's a second story one and it is miniscule so not going to jump up and down too much about that one :)
Also, the windows are likely to go in and then come out again :) they put all ours in and then the next day or so some were taken out as the scaffolding for the roof tilers had to go on! talk about waste of work (undless they are doing that to check the sizings?
Looking forward to the progression...you're probably about 3 weeks behind our build...and we are about a week behind MelMox's build so it's good that we are all going through the phases together...very exciting times ahead for us all!
Congrats!
Mel
Hi MelNRob,
ReplyDeleteI didn't speak to our SS about the defects, thought that I should leave it till the site meeting when we are face to face.
I want to leave the bad guy side for our independent inspector and we be the good guys :) so all defects will be pointed out by our inspector.
You are lucky to have small numbers of defects at frame stage. I hope our inspector doesn't find anything major either.
I agree, its great that we are building roughly at the same time and able to see the stages.
Congrats to you too!! *^_^*
